Appetite For The Arches – A Unique Fundraising Dinner with Central Florida Chefs Using McDonald’s Ingredients

Coming up on March 1 is the Appetite for the Arches a very unique fundraising dinner event. The dinner will feature a number of Central Florida’s talented chefs and restaurants, all creating dishes using McDonald’s® ingredients for guests to sample. Funds raised will benefit the Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Central Florida to provide a home away from home for families with critically ill children.

I had a chance to preview some of the dishes from some of Orlando’s most celebrated chefs. James and Julie Petrakis of The Ravenous Pig and Cask & Larder, Kathleen Blake of The Rusty Spoon, and Kevin Fonzo of K Restaurant. They ALL made great dishes using McDonald’s products and I was pleasantly surprised. They really transformed the ingredients into dishes that represent their style in each of their restaurants. The full list of chefs are from around Central Florida, with a guest from Miami.

Following dishes are just a preview of what’s to come on Saturday, March 1, from 7 to 10 p.m.at the Orlando World Center Marriott.
