Food Truck Chefs Compete in Summer Cook-Off Series at Whole Foods Market – Orlando, FL

The summer heat is here and it is time for a Cook-Off series. Food truck cuisine is one of the hottest trends around the country and it has been elevated with many classically trained chefs creating culinary masterpieces in their mobile kitchens. Watch four Orlando food truck chefs battle it out in the “Fill the Grill in $20/20 Minute Challenge”. Each chef will have 20 minutes to shop, with a $20 budget, and have 20 minutes to cook up their creations. This will be a weekly series held at the Whole Foods Market in Phillip’s Crossing, on Thursday evenings at 7pm, and open to the public. The chefs’ dishes will be judged by a panel and the winning chefs will move on to the final cook-off round.

FOOD TRUCK CHEF SUMMER COOK-OFF
Local Chefs Fill the Grill in $20/20 Minute Challenge

Foodies, grilling aficionados and food truck lovers are invited to Whole Foods Market – Phillip’s Crossing this summer to feel the heat during the food truck chef Fill the Grill cook-off. Renowned food truck chefs Catarina Triacca (Gastro Trina Truck), Bryce Balluff (Fork in the Road), Tony Adams (Big Wheel Provisions) and Bruno Fonseca (Five Gastronomy) will be given $20 and 20 minutes to speed shop for ingredients; then, the chefs will have an additional 20 minutes to prepare a delicious, affordable and creative summer meal using only a grill. The first battle takes place on Thursday, July 12 followed by round two on Thursday, July 19; the finals are set to take place on Thursday, July 26. All challenges will begin at 7:00 p.m., are free and open to the public. An esteemed panel of judges will determine which chef goes to the next round. Recipes created by challenge winners will be posted online for home cooks to download for free.
