Photo of the day Monday – Ray’s Pizza NYC

The first Photo of the Day Monday for 2011 is a delicious slice of pizza from Ray’s Pizza, located on Prince Street. Pizza is a staple food in New York City and this place has deep roots in pizza history. This is said to be the first and original Ray’s Pizza, among many other “Ray’s Pizza” joints around New York City.

I will stay out of the heated debates on all of the Ray’s Pizza places and just say this was a great slice. I also did try a slice of cheese pizza and it is one of the best I have tasted as far as a classic style NYC cheese pizza.

With that said and so many passionate pizza lovers out there, let’s hear your favorite spot and hopefully we can try your favorite slice of pizza one day and feature it here as well.

Here’s a photo of the location to not get this mistaken from another Ray’s Pizza…
