Today’s Photo of the Day Monday is Carne Asada Fries from Albertaco’s in Cypress, CA. This was the first time I had this delicious snack and it was great. Carne Asada Fries are something I heard about through friends and online blogs, which is a popular snack or appetizer in Southern California. I listened to friends rant and rave about how good they tasted so I had to find a place close to where I was staying to finally try them. After some research I found that people in the area really liked Albertaco’s in Cypress, CA for Carne Asada Fries.

Carne Asada Fries are a delicious snack that can be found in the SouthWestern United States and very typical in Southern California in the Los Angeles and San Diego areas. The dish is made of french fries, carne asada (roasted steak), cheese, guacamole, and sour cream.
I had this order to go and it was kind of messy to eat in the car. You either dig in with your hands or eat with a fork, its a tasty snack to be shared. The carne asada steak tasted good with the fries and all the toppings. “What a great food concoction” and “who ever created this was a genius” were the thoughts running in my head as we devoured the dish quickly. An enjoyable snack it was and glad I finally tried it. Now I just have to figure out where to get this in Orlando! Anyone know?
