TheDailyCity.com had a great turn out for Orlando Food Truck Bazaar #2 at the Fashion Square Mall on May 1st. More trucks, more organization, and more happy people and foodies. The only thing it lacked were bathrooms, so people came and went, and came back again. There was also a Food Blogger table with local Orlando bloggers where we were able to collaborate and produce an I Love Food Trucks t-shirt. (If you still want a shirt, contact myself or @EatLocalOrlando for order information).

Country Chuck Wagon – didn’t get to try them, but people said they liked it.

Wing Commander – This food truck came up from MIAMI! I really wish I got to taste their food, but food blogger duty calls. I guess I’ll have to make a trip down South to get some of their popular wings. Find them on twitter @MyWingCommander

Orlando loves KBBQ boxes. Pictured here is my meal, the beef box with rice and Korean gourmet sides

The Crooked Spoonhttp://twitter.com//TheCrookedSpn

The Crooked Spoon served up a Food Truck Bazaar special menu of gourmet hot dogs and condiment bar . Their line was efficient and food was on point people said. Here are the Voodoo Dog crawfish gumbo and pickled onions on it on a brioche bun and Floribean with plantain chips, onions and orange scented mustard on brioche

Treehouse Truckhttp://twitter.com/TREEHOUSETRUCK – The Treehouse Truck had a few lines which expedited service with drinks, sandwiches, fried desserts. The ChiMoo is becoming a food truck staple and their weekly burgers are popular.

Tree House BearGrrr aka Luther Vandross Burger – Tree House Truck’s signature 13 spice burger, bacon, cheese, all between 2 Krispy Kreme donuts

I featured this [Here] and it is one of my favorite burgers. Their special spiced burger meat really compliments the donuts and creates a balanced salty, savory, sweet flavor profile. A must try at the Food Truck events!

Red Eye BBQhttp://twitter.com/Redeyebbq – Orlando’s first mainstream food truck which launched at the end of 2010, the Red Eye BBQ truck serves the masses their great tasting BBQ.

The Red Eye – corn muffin with pulled pork, honey, BBQ sauce

Another one of my favorites. My friend waited in line for 30 minutes to order this and she said it was definitely worth the wait. I agree.

Pupusas Truck

I still have not tried the Pupusas Truck, but I really want to. I had a Pupusas last year in NYC and it was great. Hopefully this upcoming Food Truck Bazaar I can get one.

Big Wheel Truck http://twitter.com/BigWheelTruck – known for their gourmet food menu, they really have some great tasting food and promote “local is lovely”.

Big Wheel Truck had a “Snack Shack” table on the side featuring pick up and go items. A nice addition if you want to grab something to eat while waiting in the main line for food.

My all time Food Partner OD braved the Big Wheel Truck line and picked up some tasty treats:
Homemade challah bread pudding w/ Tahitian Vanilla & Nutella , Crispy tots w/ foie gras crema & local blueberry compote, Crispy fried cheddar chive grit cakes

Travelling GourmetCuban Pork Sandwich with sautéed onions. It had a home made pesto with some great flavors, I forgot the ingredients but it was good.

Melissa’s Chicken and Waffles – @melissaswaffles

A brand new food truck that debuted at the Food Truck Bazaar. It was literally their first night. Very brave for anyone who opens a food truck, but a learning experience. The long lines caused a 2 hour wait, something that comes with a new food truck and learning a system that works. They have been at the Food Pod events lately and are serving with more efficiency and good flavors.

Chicken and waffle sandwich – this is a photo of a friend’s order and I finally got to order my own a few weeks later. Good seasoned chicken and I really like the gravy. Add some syrup and you are good to go.

Dessert Waffle – I forgot the name of this waffle but it was topped with Nutella, Peanut butter and whipped cream

Fire House BBQ truck – @TheFireHouseBBQ – based in Deland, Florida yet another food truck that came for the Bazaar.

The Fire House BBQ truck made a platter of ribs, Loaded Red Potato Salad, and Key Lime Coleslaw. The ribs were great and sides were a great compliment. The owner even gave me a bottle of their own BBQ sauce to try at home. The sauce was great on the ribs, had a peppery kick that I like. Order it online http://firehousebbq.us/

The Sunset Ice Italian Ice Truck – this was a great ending for the evening. I got the Mango and Coconut. The mango was my favorite and tasted like you were eating fresh mangos! Located in Merritt Island this was another truck that made the trip to Orlando.
