Tonight watch The Crooked Spoon Food Truck on the “The Smokin’ South” episode of the Eat St. television show on the Cooking Channel. Filming on one of the hottest days during the summer, see how The Crooked Spoon cooks up some of their special dishes like Grilled Swordfish and Grits, the 420 Burger, and the popular Mac ‘N Cheese.

The Crooked Spoon is the third food truck in Orlando, FL to be filmed for the Eat. St show. Since the show airs first in Canada, the local food trucks that have been featured on the Eat St. show have been visited by Canadians during the last few weeks of 2011. Its always nice to have some out-of-town visitors stop by the truck to taste the food and snap a few photos.

A few local food truck fans and food bloggers were interviewed on some of their favorites from The Crooked Spoon menu. Above is local food blogger Chris R. from @EatLocalOrlando describing his favorites on the menu.

I thought this was the best behind the scenes photo for this episode. The camera lady stood on a cooler to be eye level with Mr. EatLocalOrlando and I’m looking forward to see this shot! Towering at like 6’7″ you can always spot Chris at an event. I actually met Chris at a food truck almost a year ago and he’s always giving me the inside scoop on local restaurants in Orlando and around Central Florida. Check out www.eatlocalorlando.com for a true look at local places to eat around Orlando. I hope his interview made the show, as well as mine.

Grilled Cheese – smoked mozzarella, basil, marinated tomato pancetta, brioche
This was the sandwich that I ate and did an interview for during the filming for Eat St. If you can imagine a warm caprese sandwich with smoked mozzarella, then you have an idea about the tasty flavors in this sandwich. A good twist on a grilled cheese sandwich, with a chef’s flare. Hopefully you will see my interview about The Crooked Spoon or possibly see a couple of glamour shots of me eating this sandwich or the Mac ‘N Cheese. Regardless it will be a fun show to watch.

See the red arrow above? That’s the Droolius sticker on the truck! Will you see it on the show tonight? If you do, snap a photo and post it on Twitter @Droolius or the Droolius Facebook Page (either website) with the caption “I saw the Droolius sticker on Eat. St with The Crooked Spoon” and I’ll find a prize to give to the first person (only) who posts it.
Congrats to Chef Steve and crew for getting their food truck and food featured on Eat St. Tune in tonight or catch them on a replay at a later date on Eat St. on the Cooking Channel.
